Today we interview our student of the Lean Manufacturing Technical Course , Ana Cristina Díaz, to talk to us about her professional career and her experience studying online at SEAS . Ana Cristina, thank you very much for taking this time to talk with us. We know that you have an extensive professional career, could you give us a brief summary? Hello. Thank you. It's true, I have worked in several sectors. My beginnings were in hospitality. I have managed to have my own business, more specifically, a delicatessen. I have also worked for a management company specialized in film production companies. But the bulk of my experience is in the industrial sector. They have been pharmaceutical, food and textile companies. In all of them as a collaborator in the production, assembly and packaging department.
I currently work as a production and assembly operator in a leather goods company. Although it is true, I have always accompanied my working life with small subsidized courses as I have not been able to Switzerland Phone Number List study when I had to, so as not to miss the train and not be left behind. What led you to start the Lean Manufacturing Technical Course ? Basically my curiosity to learn that I have always had. In the companies where I have worked they have always counted on me to train newly hired colleagues, and for improvement tasks and new projects. I felt comfortable in that area. Through advertisements, I discovered SEAS in its beginnings and attended an informational interview. Unfortunately I was not able to start my studies then for financial and compatibility reasons.
After so many years, I have finally found the opportunity and it has also been combined with the fact that in my current company they are implementing new improvement methods in a comprehensive manner. It is a good opportunity to update my situation within the company. What has this study contributed to your professional career? The main thing is the satisfaction of certifying that yes, this is really what I wanted to do and understanding that what I have always put into practice in my work has a basis. It has helped me understand many things and have a double technical and practical vision. I am currently on sick leave, which is why I took the opportunity to do this study. When I return to work, I hope that all the knowledge acquired will serve to increase my value within the company. I know that it will be very useful within my department so that the improvements implemented flow better and help them be understood by the rest of my colleagues.
