This case of teachers, to learn, to change concepts and to assume new behaviors and attitudes towards the contents covered in the subject, which is fundamental in any innovation (BAGNATO; MERCURI; PEREIRA, 2010) . FINAL CONSIDERATIONS Recognition of the importance and need for teachers' commitment to teaching is imperative, in order to teach in a systematic and critical way, which involves the student in their learning process. This study demonstrated that including students in the discipline's innovation process allowed them to experience the challenges of teaching practice.
On the other hand, it allowed teachers to awaken their interest in deepening their studies on Education and technologies. The commitment of everyone involved in the innovation process of the Discipline of children's picture book as an important tool for reading the world, this Phone Number List work aims to answer how the children's picture book can contribute as a tool for reading the world. Therefore, this work aims to answer the following question: how can children's picture books contribute as a tool for reading the world? The main objective of the research is to discuss the importance of the picture book as a learning tool in Early Childhood Education, in addition to understanding the broad concept of reading and presenting the picture book as a playful instrument. The theoretical framework addresses the views of different authors on the conception of reading, visual language and image books.
The research is characterized as descriptive, with a qualitative approach and uses bibliographical research as a methodology. The conclusion of the research is that the concept of reading is broad and linked to reading the world and, in order to build meaningful learning, children need to have contact with everything that is part of the context in which they live and the manifestations artistic activities, including reading images, are part of this context. As a learning tool, the picture book can be considered a playful instrument in Early Childhood Education as it develops and stimulates children's imagination, creativity, curiosity, perception capacity, critical eye and aesthetic taste.
